Bernie, You are a bright down to Earth person who made the world more fun. I'm mad that you did not have a longer time to enjoy your success here on Earth. I'm sure God has reasons for calling you home sooner though, and that your in a better place than all of us. I'm putting in a prayer that your family will prevail during this painful time of loss. I lost my father early in life. The pain of loss is really changing the nature of our relationship. The relationship to whom we love never ends though.

You ARE my favorite comedian by far. Everything you did made me laugh, no matter how short or small the role was. Even the few minutes you were in trasformers was hilarious..."If i had a rock I'd bust yo head" and when you were telling that joke about the studdering bus driver, man that face was classic. I have followed Bernie Mac's career since his first big break on HBO, and he felt like a part of my family. I was devastated to learn that Mac had passed so young, with so much left undone. I loved Bernie, and will get his show on DVD, so I can keep that part of him forever. Man, much love to he and his family, and the costars of the show, and the Kings of Comedy. First, Tupac, Biggie, now Mac, and just today, Isaac Hayes. Miss all ya'll.

Although i never met him in person i know dat he was a great man, he really got me into comedy. I heard he was dead while i was watching CNN. I was shocked and speechless because he was one of the last people that i expected to die at a very tender age of 50. I was deeply hurt when I heard that he passed away. Not the funniest black Man in the world meanning to a quote from the Movie Head Of State. I learned the news of his passing via a text message from a friend in Chicago.....I thought it was just a joke but damn.....on a good thought, he is with Jesus now. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.... My alltime favorite act of his was on Kings Of Comedy, The Milk N' Cookies act. I WAS ROLLIN ON DA FLOOR LAUGHIN MY A** OFF TIL I CRIED....lol

So many of black actors and entertainers are leaving us now but they will never be forgotten. I I pray for the family in this time of sorrow. I remember being very depressed after returning from Iraq. It was 2005 I turned on the TV and the comedy ,Whats the worst that could happen was playing. I was laughing so hard I forgot how bad I felt. Thank You for giving me a little peace in a violent world. The world is definitely a much sadder place without him......

God has a plan for our lives. On Saturday morning when I sat down to retrieve my email, I detoured and was SHOCKED!! to see the headline Bernie Mac 50, dead. It seemed as if the air had been sucked right out of me, and I gasped, Oh no,This can not be true! In the back of mind I thought, what a horrible joke and who would do something so mean. But it is true, Bernie is gone. Bernie Mac was family to me, although I never met him. Bernie Mac reminded me of a friend, one would be blessed to have. I will miss him immensely! I did not know that Bernie was married, I am so happy he had the love of a wife and child. Mrs. Bernie Mac my prayer for you and your family is that somehow God will hold you in his arms and make this next phase of your life with out Bernie easy to endure, until you see again, In Jesus name I pray. Know that I love you and yours because of the joy and laughter God allowed Bernie to bring in to my life.

Bernie Mac earned my respect by presenting an honest version of himself to the world. He was straight, hilarious, thought-provoking and an overcomer of great odds. I had the most unforgetable experience having the opportunity to sit next to Bernie on a TWA flight from San Antoino TX to ST Louis MO in 1999. I introduced myself to him asbeing a military person and we talked for about 20 minutes about various things. He was telling me how exhausted his was, so I said get a little shut-eye whle you can. He did. I was so shocked about his untimely death, but he shall always be my "King of Comedy". God Bless him and his 62family during these times.

This earthly realm is is lot less funny because we have lost a great man. Everytime that he was on screen he was the star. Gone to soon! My prayers and thoughts are with his familly.

Bernie Mac's show was more real than any reality show and spoke for so much for the America he addressed, black, white, latino - all of us.
