I'm in shock to hear this sad news, Jo and Thomas my heartfelt condolences. Chris will be sorely missed by all whom he came in contact with on this earth - such a happy, funny person, who always saw the positive side to everything. A funny memory I have is Chris comandeering a dodgy 4wd in bali to drive Alex and I into a volcano crater - not realising the gear box was stuffed and he had to drive in 1st all the way back out of that crater - we thought we'd never get out of there! I will miss you Chris Farewell x

Since we left Sydney, our deepest regrets have always been about not being able to see old friends and family, as often as we should, or would have liked. There was a picnic in Sydney Park and kids running around, up and down slides and then up and down the hill on cardboard. He had lost a little weight but he was still the same Chris since Bimbadgen and before. Kind, positive and always interested in what you had to say, the best kind of person. And don't forget the big chinny grin. That will be the way I will always remember him. That was more than three years ago and it's hard to believe that we won't be seeing Chris again. Nothing more to add, except to say - Thanks and Goodbye. Mark & Kathleen

My friendship with beautiful Jo and Chris really blossomed right before their wedding back in 2000, and I was so struck at the speeches they both gave, and especially Chris. Seeing a man be so free and honest about his deepest feelings in front of many is something all too rare, and I found it inspiring. I remember saying to myself, "I want a man to love me like that one day". Kind, loving, gentle and wise, this is how I'll always remember Chris. Love from Jacqui, Oli, Geli and Millie xxxx

Chris always spoke fondly of his wonderful family, his partner Jo and their son Thomas. At other times, he waxed lyrical about the rugby and digital technology. He was smart, supportive, kind and a true gentleman. Honoured to have known you and will never ever forget you, mate.

A crowd of chattering people. Chris with forefinger on his lips thoughtfully pondering the question posed. His policy ' always be the last to leave'. I miss you.
