I worked with Dean back in the days of Home and Garden in skygarden in sydney. We had so much fun, Dean was so talented and creative and encouraged me to bring my own creativity forth - which I did. I went to to become a Visual Merchandiser with Freedom - a position I would not have dreamed possible if it wasn't for Dean's caring, nurturing personality. he was fun, a rascal with a huge heart and my heart is sore and saddened at his passing.

He was my Uncle and is so dear to my heart. i may not have seen him all the time but when i did we always had our special little bond. I remember our christmas days with Nan Cass i would wait for hours for you to turn up and it always felt as soon as you got to Mum and dads house you'd be leaving. And falling a sleep holding on to your hand and loving having you next to me. I love you and miss you so much but i know your safe and not hurting anymore. I love you!!

We had the honour of meeting Pak Dean in Bali when we bought our villa that Dean had designed. The world has lost a wonderful kind man that did not deserve to leave this earth so early in life. We know he is safe and happy now with no pain. Rest in peace Barb and Wayne Taylor

Dean and I spent many days together as kids, I have endless memories of us galavanting around Nowra, fishing together with our grandfather Harry Brady and pushing a mini lawn mower around behind Keith (Deans Dad) in Deans backyard and as we grew we ate about everything Marie had in her kitchen. We used to ride Des's 450 Honda trail bike or at least I did and frighten the life out of Marie when we would dissappear for hours on end. One time we were visiting Dean and his family from Sydney with my parents and I was out with Dean and a couple of girls and we got lost somewhere out in the mountains and never made it back in time for my parents to leave so there I was stuck, but caught a train home the next morning. I used to dearly love those days and that was one of the reasons I wanted to stay being a kid. I loved my cousin more than he probably knew. We were apart for many years as we developed our careers and I lives then a few years back while I was in Indonesia for the Tsunami I stopped in Bali on several of those trips and spent some time together and it was just like when we were kids again at least it was for me. I am going to really miss you Dean you were a great cousin and back in the day my best mate. Will love you always. Sean http://static.onlinetributes.com.au/m1/memories/dn5q6eg7qlml5x_s.png

I met Dean at P.O.W hospital while he was undergoing treatment, Dean was sharing a room with my father Arthur, who is also undergoing treatment for leukemia, I have spent much time in Bali and Dean and I certainly had this fondness for Indonesia in common, Dean was more than happy to offer advice and assistance on my future plans to build in Indonesia, he was so helpful and as I discovered extremely talented in his design work. I was in Bali when my father informed me of his sudden passing, Dad had become good mates with Dean and was extremely upset by the news as was I,My condolences to his family.

I remember a very happy time when Dean, Des, Kerry and I shared a house in Vaucluse in the eighties. It's great to see that his "arty crafty" talent blossomed into a highly regarded career. I'm very sad to hear of his passing and my thoughts are with family.
