Miss you so much Gayle!
My Mother has been my best friend my entire life. She lived by very simple rules ... always be kind, honest, and true to yourself ... no matter what others say, do, or think ... at the end of the day you are left with the reflection in the mirror ... you must love who you see there ... nothing else matters. And so we have lived our lives accordingly. Now with her passing, she and Dad will be watching from above to see that I fulfill the integrity and purpose they instilled in me. So I will. I have a vision for the youth and neighborhoods of Jonesboro and beyond that this fine lady helped reveal. It was my deepest desire that she see her legacy fulfilled standing beside me … now she will see it from a very different viewpoint. It is rare to know a completely loving, giving human being. You cannot imagine the honor of being raised by one. With every year her wisdom grew, as did my respect. Hers was a rich and full life ... continuing to give to others until her body no longer allowed it ... and even then offering her best to everyone she came into contact with. I only know of one way to honor such a fine example of humanity … to continue her values in everything I do … without exception. You watch … there will be thousands of smiling faces reflecting her love … and so it is. Gayle
