Christmas was always a special day for our family, But every year at 9am you knew to be at grandma Sandoval's house. We always started with the good old bloody Mary's and a huge breakfast, Tamales and menudo and of course potatoes and eggs and a huge ham. Everyone knew the kids ate first and because we were such a large family we would eat in shifts, next came the older kids then all the adults. As they were eating all of us kids would get all excited because we knew presents were next. We use to all get pajamas as our gift as a tradition but as everyone knows those change and well they became more special. My mom and uncle Jim would help my grandmother make these special gifts and those would be the decorations on the tree. I have saved all the ones my children have received because I know there will never be anything more special then those gifts from her and my grandfather.
