Like Bryan Naylor was for Channel 9 News viewers, Geoff Raymond was almost like a member of the family for everyone who'd tune in to the ABC News at 7pm. For so many of us who lived through those years, a link to happy memories of family life in the 1970s and 1980s has been broken. Geoff reading the news, followed by Edwin Maher doing the weather, was a Melbourne institution. My condolences to all who knew him.
So sad to hear of Geoff"s recent death. I remember many many hilarious evenings spent with the Raymond family, at our place in Mt.Eliza and your place in Mt.Martha . Maggie,Jacquetta and Jonathon our family is thinking of you. Mum, Lyn Griffin, also passed away recently, but before she died we had talked about Geoff and Maggie and wondered where you were. I would love to make contact
