CORRECTION,I WAS SEVEN WHEN WE LEFT,BUT I DIDN'T SEE AN EDIT BUTTON,ON THE PREVIOUS MEMORY.THANKS.
My own private memory consists of my mother coming in to my room each night,to tuck me in,and singing 'Drume Negrito" to me.That was her favorite lullaby, and I remember that she sang it to me with tears in her eyes the night before we were to leave Cuba,I happened to notice,so I asked her why she was crying, she said "I've had to make a very difficult decision, and I don't know if it's the right one, will you forgive me if I'm wrong,?" I answered,"I know you'll be right, and we'll all be happy with whatever you decide."I was eight years old,and the next day,we left Cuba forever.
