She was so strong willed, so determined and she could not ever be tricked or cajoled into doing anything she did not want to do.
Mum gave to the community as the Cub leader Akela. She loved kids and the noise and the toys and the ironing never worried her.
Isn''t funny that the thing I think she did best was her chicken curry. No other curry ever tastes as good as hers.
I miss her. Our special time to talk was on Sunday mornings. Now that she is no longer here, she made me take her bible to church on Sunday mornings. I think this is how I still talk with her.
My love to you from your first born....

I have warm memories of a Strong, dependable, and loving person and mother. Life was not easy but she did not quit. She used to talk of the early days of her life as a seamstress in Sydney and her years living there. I loved watching her spinning wool and doing her tapestries. She enjoyed her work at the cherry sheds each year with the Batnick's shed at Young. She was always fair to me and I think I took a strength from my time knowing her that I have leaned on throughout my life. I admired her determination and quiet strength. She loved all of her children and was extremelly proud of what they achieved with their lives. She will be truly missed. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire family at this time.
