I was lucky enough to be coached by Brock during the 80s. Only recently i was reflecting on what he taught me. Vale Brock,
Brock was a school mate (Scots) of my father, Ron Mackay, a now retired grazier from Coolabah in far west NSW, also 83 years old. My father always spoke of Dave from his days at Scots and that he was a "good bloke" and when ever I ran into Brock at Old Boys functions or rugby matches he always asked after my father. A true gentleman. he will be sadly missed.
John (David as we called him) and Claire were our neighbours in Vaucluse for many years. A beautiful gentleman who always had a smile on his face. A husband who took care of his lovely wife Claire with absolute love and devotion. We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing and send our condolences to Claire and all the family. We will miss seeing him around Rose Bay, which is where we bumped into him frequently. May his dear soul R.I.P.
