Joy’s memory will continue at the London and Middlesex Rifle Association at Bisley Camp, Surrey, England. In 1999 Joy visited the club with Frank and donated a beautiful silver cup in memory of her beloved father Aubrey Spencer who was Adjutant to the victorious Australian rifle team who came to Bisley in 1937 and won the Kolapore Trophy. The silver cup was named the Spencer Trophy and is competed for at Bisley each July. Joy also planted a tree in memory of her father in the grounds of Bisley camp. On behalf of all the members of the club I would like to pass on our condolences and best wishes to all Joy’s family and friends in these difficult times.
