in september me and a fellow rasta got to see the one and only lucky dube whom i always wanted to see and got to see him out on hopiland rez in ariozna. it was odd cause no one was really there but to me was still a good show cause it was over 2 hours and he got to chat with us and toke up. i was shocked to hear his death and very outraged that all this irie people who are trying to help the world end up getting killed off. he was the peter tosh of south africa and he was a target of the government cause anyone who promotes peace, love, unity for the people the government has them killed off. what bloodklatts they are for doing that shit. LUCKY DUBE WILL NEVER BE FORGETTON.. BLESSINGS TO HIS FAMILY....

A friend we had a friend we lost. it's so sad to know hear the lost of our dear friend Lucky Dube in a short period of time, and who can replace him? Every time i listen to his music it brings tears to my eyes, knowing that he was such a kind person. His death shows that not everyone loves you, some do and some pretend to. we all missed him and let those who had part to play in his death live conscience.

Words can not express the loss of legend lucky. A man who spent his life trying to bring peace to crazy world. He is killed by the same situation that he was fighting. A mere car made the whole world miss freedom fighter who had survived and won many hard wars . i thank the Almighty for having allowed us share Lucky's gift of life. though he is gone, he still lives amidst us, in our houses (sitting rooms). he will be remembered as the only Musician whose music/ tape was present at least in every home in Uganda. As my idol, i was inspired by his lyrics to love my people,my work (doctor) and country. To many of us, we shared the humble childhood and background as Lucky. Being brought up by single parents, we derived joy and happiness whenever we could hear Lucky share his Biography with out shame or fear. Lucky you played your part. i pray to Jah. to allow me do my part. Bye- Bye Lucky.

A good friend of mine brought Lucky Dube to my attention, as we are both fans of Reggae music. But Lucky Dube's Reggae music was different, with a wonderful South African influence. My friend emailed me that Lucky Dube had recently died and when I confirmed it, I thought what a said and tragic loss! We forget about the violence and danger people face in other parts of the world. I''m so happy to have heard Lucky's music and will spread the word about him even more. My love and condolences to his family.

The first time he came in Suriname i was to jong to go to his show. I love reggae because of the lyrics. In my country we dont discriminate. We listen to all kind of music. I am not a black gay but i still love reggae. My father grand grand grand parents were from indonesia, and my mother grand grand grand parents were from india. So i am absolutely not an indian or an indonesian. But i love reggae. I was schock wen i heard the news. I wish that this kind of robbish did not happend to him but JAH and only JAH will take bring him in save place and to all the people who believe in his words. I want to make readers remember! I am sorry, I have no way out. That is what I was use todo (to writr down Lucky's music while he was singing). Number in the book No glove, no love You've been hearing this so many times don't you think it's time to be a little more responsible too many people die these days, oh if you read the papers, check out the news the numbers are there every number, represents a human being who was a father, who was a mother a son or a daughter of this land...oh you don't make the commitment but your body does even if you're dead silent chorus you are here today, tomorrow you are gone you don't wanna be another number in the book (x3) in the shadows of the night a lady from the street corner talks to a customer money exchanges hands that's the formality and she says no glove, no love you can pay me well, but it ain't worth my life too many people die these days if you read the papers, check out the news the numbers are there every number, represents a human being who was a father, who was a mother a son or a daughter of this land...oh By Lucky Dube it ain't worth my life...oh and click Next

If I feel so much hurt and angry about Lucky's death, then what about his family that he left behind. My condolences and Love to them all. Please, know that we love you as much as we have loved your Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Cousin and so on. For his numerous fans I say let us have an affirmative action. Let us do exactly what he told us to do and I believe he would be happy where he is. I suggest the Law Court should also charge those criminals with CAUSING HARM to his children especially those who witness his killing. My respect to Lucky Dube even in death.

I remember my son's father being love of him and his music chanting his songs away. Feeling every meaning of his songs. Listening attentively to every word, to every beat. Luky where ever you are i'll rememeber you, in whatever you do i'll love you.........

The one who pulled that trigger is like Jesus's Judas. I know he did not know it was you ´but he must make a public confession before he dies. Your family and fans must know him, it's just a matter of time. But I thank God I was lucky to have met you once in my whole life. I will never forget you.
