I remember when I met him in 4th grade. He came over to me and talked to me about his Indonesian holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed his company and he'll be greatly missed...

Mark When I heard your devasting news about Natasha, I couldnt believe it and my thoughts were with you. Then when the news came that you were missing I knew in my heart that you just wanted to be with Natasha and was not surprised to hear what you had done. You have brought so much joy to children all over the world through the one thing that brings everyone together whether young or old, Art!! Children that dont know how to express themselves have learnt to from you through their drawing, painting, etc. You never had a harse word for anyone or anything. If a child approached you in the street, no matter how busy or rushed you would always stop and speak, sign autographs. You will be sadly missed by all generations, young and old. Art will not be the same for me again. My heart goes out to your family and everyone that knew you for you are a great loss to all. I hope that you and Natasha are sitting on a cloud somewhere enjoying each other watching over both your families and friends. Enjoy being back together. Rest In Peace Mark and Natasha x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

mark was not a chav lady!!!!!
I cannot believe how much this has affected me. I see myself as a level headed person that would not normally feel the need to contribute to sites like this, but I feel very strongly in my soul that Mark was a truely fantastic guy, and how moved would he have been to know that so many children and adults would have cared the way they have. What is it all about? To reach such a level of despair, its unbelievably sad. Mark definately needs to live on with a memorial of some kind, he had so much more to do. A beautiful, vibrant , talented man. bless you forever xxxxx
Mark is well known by all children who grew up and were born in the 90's like myself. When i heard about his death i was devestated and started cryin i no it sound silly since i'm 16 years old but he died so close to my birthday and i kinda connected to him wenever i watched smART it was an amazing program thanks to him but its going to change alot now and seriouly i mean alot since he's gone, i just hope all is well for his friends and family and i hope that he rests in peace for ever and he will always be remmbered in my heart and i'm sure many others hearts. Once again mark R.I.P. and with love thanks for everything. xxxxx
The summer of 2007 Mark and Natasha were at our local park doing things with children. My son Luca begged me to go as Mark speight had been his idol for years! we went along and Luca joined in with the fun. He spent most of his time following Mark around chatting to him, I found that both Mark and Natasha were lovely to my little boy. Luca told Mark that he has dyslexia but is very good at art and computers and that he wanted Marks job when he grows up. Mark laughed and said he should go for it telling him he was only interested in art at school. Natasha paid particular attention to my two year old Frankie who was running around naming dinosaurs. My Luca had his pictures taken and Mark let him win a drawing competition and gave him a signed t shirt which he is so proud of! Luca was devestated at Natasha dying as he remembered her from the summer.... even more devestated that his idol died too... poor Lucas grandad died in the same week...poor boy. It is so sad to see that Mark took his life i cant imagine the sadness he must have been feeling to have done that. He touched my sons life and i will always remember his kindness towards my son as it made a big impact on the kid. Mark and Natasha were a lovely couple. I hope they are back together somewhere now and are happy again.
I remember what a good presenter you were, how you excited children. I hope you are happy with your natasha. much love xx
A lovely man to watch and listen to. I am so sad that it ended this way for him. Love and support to his family and friends.
I remember first seeing Mark on UTV Children's show as a computerised host, like Max Headroom. Then I saw him on the BBC, mostly in Smart. I remember him on Art programs. He was so talented, as Artist, Teacher and Presenter. His warmth and wit came through to me as I watched him. I am so sorry that his life took such a difficult path. He was more fragile and sensitive than I thought he was on tv. I hope he has found peace. I will miss him, even if I never met him. He made my life a little better just by being alive.
I first met Mark when he came to Redditch Town Center, he did a drawin for my daughter. I shall miss Mark. I liked watchin him on T.V as he always made me smile. He will never be forgotten. Now he has joined Tash to together at last. I can't say rest in peace or god bless cause I don't belive in it...There is a place where we all go and where ever that is i'm dam sure Mark is happy. Keep smilin Mark as you and tash are now one xxxx
What a tragic loss, i hope your at peace now mark, i loved watching on telly as a child and so did my young son.
Mark you will be sadly missed by all tv viewers and you are now with natasha your loved one
