For 5 years now we have raised Tank Seggie, the beautiful German Sheppard named in honour of this brave young man. Even though we never met him, we feel honoured to share his story to others, and how we are so lucky to have added a member to our family with such a high distinction.

Thank you all for this wonderful site! It does still bring tears to my eyes when I see tributes such as this.

My thoughts are with your family at thisdifficult time
Major Brian William Seggie
British Army
I am sorry that we've lost another Canadian Soldier in Battle. My thoughts are with his family.

Mike was always at our place growing up.He was like a second brother to me. He was my brothers best friend. There were almost inseperable. I remember on my brothers 18th birthday, Mike lost his hat overboard the Paddlewheel cruise that I took them on. He always had a smile and a joke, even if it was at his own expense. He will always be remembered and forever in our hearts. I will miss him always.
RIP Mike, my little brother.

ONE DAY BEFORE HE LEFT FOR AFGHANISTAN MIKE LOOK FOR ME TO SAY GOOGBYE AND INTRODUCED HIS LADY FRIEND.AND HES SO EXCITED.MIKE WORKED FOR ME FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS IN STURGEON TIRE WAREHOUSE AS HIS SUPERVISOR.DEDICATION AND DESCIPLINE WAS THE BEST OF MIKE, AND IM GONNA MISSED HIM,TO THE FAMILY OF MIKE ,MY DEEPEST SYMPHATHY.....GUILL

Seggie will always be remembered for his bravery and devotion to our country. Canada has lost a great man. May his loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.
RIP Soldier
