I think it is sad that it took this tragic incident to make the peace - I read this article today: Rhys has reunited Reds and Blues fans Aug 29 2007 Tony Barrett on an emotional night which united Reds and Blues for the sake of Rhys Jones by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo Rhys Jones' family received a heartfelt welcome from fans at Anfield The theme from Z Cars – a tune Liverpool fans usually do their best to drown out when they are at Goodison Park. A song that is as associated with Everton as You’ll Never Walk Alone is with Liverpool. But last night it brought a city together, succeeding in doing something so many of us had forgotten could actually happen – it united Reds and Blues. Not since 1989 and the aftermath of Hillsborough has such a display of city unity taken place. The only sore point is that it took another tragedy to do it. The death of 11-year-old Rhys Jones has touched everyone on Merseyside. In four days we have seen more than 75,000 football fans at Anfield and Goodison put on the most poignant displays of solidarity with the youngster’s family it is possible to imagine. Last night’s events, though, were almost unimaginable. I am as avid a L'pool fan as Rhys was an Everton fan,i don't wear many normal clothes, just alot of Football shirts and tracky's, i might be a 44 year old lady but i enjoy the game so much,i have a season ticket at Anfield.I hope Rhys gets to play Footy in heaven?
I have never been so emotionally moved, over an item of news, as I have over the murder of Rhys Jones. I cannot imagine what your family are going through and from the bottom of my hear I am truly very sorry for your loss. I doubt there is anything that can be done to ease your pain right now, but I hope that reading messages like these will will restore your faith in human nature and remind you that there is more good in this world than bad. I wish there was something I could do but I know there isn't, I just hope they find who is responsible for this. May the happy memories you have of Rhys keep you smiling through the tears. Sending you love and support over the months ahead. God bless you. x

To the parents & brother of Rhys Jones. I am so sorry for the loss of your son, whoever did this is a coward a no good low life coward whoever they are do they think they are big with a gun there not they are COWARDS. Unlike some, I never had the pleasure of meeting Rhys, but I wanted to write something. I don't come from Liverpool, I live in London, but it doesn't matter where you come from - we've all felt this loss. There are no words that can take the pain away but I just hope that Rhys's family can find a little bit of strength in the fact that the whole nation is grieving. God bless you all.
May god Bless and as you look down from Heaven may you give your family the strength to go on. Your photo has been taken to Medjugorje and has been left on Appirition Hill with Our Blessed Mother in Heaven.Rest in Peace.
