well he wasn't just some guy, he was a very special guy. I am a high school student who just finished an ISU on his life and the reasons why i chose him as a global citizen. After reading all these touching stories, memories, and success Rogers has gone through, i say that i made the right choice in choosing him. His life was a role model for many younger generations out there such as myself. And hopefully many others will realize what the world would be like if Rogers has not been here to impact it. Rest in Peace, God Bless Edward Samuel Ted Rogers Jr.

Our family places a huge premium on communication. We are connected even when we are not all at home, and we thank you Ted, for building such a company to help keep us that way. Your book was an inspiration for entrepreneurs. Rest eternal, dear friend.

All I remember about Ted Rogers is his company constantly gouging Canadians of their hard earned money. Rogers is by far the least competitive of the cell phone companies, using their GSM monopoly to the detriment of Canadian citizens. I can only hope that wherever he is resting, he himself is also charged a never-ending monthly system access fee of $7.

I arrived in Canada June 2007 and everyone at the hotel told me that I should get Rogers Cable, Internet and home phone once we settle in the apartment. I wondered....Who is this Rogers guy? I looked him up and just wanted to meet him as he so much remembered me of another Ted who was my boss at one time in my 12 year broadcast career. Ted Turner at CNN. I started my career as a Pharmacist and went on to be a Broadcaster/Journalist and PR Specialist. My big break came at CNN Medical Bureau in Washington where I was a freelance Health reporter. I spoke to Ted Rogers only ONCE...via e-mail. I just wanted him to see my four year concept of media news and gossip blogging, 5 years old in the States and new in Canada.....Keminications. He loved it! I had the opportunity to meet Rogers at several events but I never attended them due to being so busy. I now regret it as he's now passed. Every broadcaster has their own memories and stories of Ted Rogers. Most of my friends in the industry actually work at a Rogers media house especially all my pals at 680 News. They are so much fun and family over there. CFRB, CHFI, CityNews which was added to the Rogers family shortly after I arrived and more. 52 Radio stations, 70 magazines, TV stations and more in just one generation. His dad died at 38 when he was 5 and was determined to move on with the family legacy! At Keminications Media and all my blogs, we sympathize with the Rogers family and employees. Loretta, Lisa, Edward, Melinda and Martha...My thoughts and prayers are with you. CFTR....So long! Can someone please turn the CN tower RED one more day! Red is Rogers! R.I.P
