I greatly valued his and Ena's part in St Michaels Church Collins Street Melbourne. There came a time when he quietly told me that they could not continue coming to church. For the whole time I knew him, he was a very distinguished presence. Always a thoughtful caring gentleman of the highest order. I regret that I was on leave and out of Melbourne at the time of his death. I only returned yesterday 31 May and was told of his passing.
